林ともうします。
みなさん忙しいところ失礼いたします。
環境はslinkでカーネル2.2.13です。
tgifで図形を書こうとおもいパッケージで
tgif-ja 3.0.p13.j1
をインストールしました。そこでkinput2経由で文字を打って
確定すると■になってしまいます。
フォントのリソースは触っていません。
tgifを起動した段階で、
「Can not open '-misc-fixed-medium-r-normal--17-*-jisx0208.1983-0'!
   Draw boxes instead of Japanese chars!
というメッセージが表示されてしまいます。
自分なりに.Xdefaultsを変更してみたりしたのですがやはり
'Can not open .....'といわれてしまいます。
どうすれば幸せになれるんでしょうか？？
ぶしつけですが【自分なりの】.Xdefaultsを載せさせていただきます。
