手元に環境がないので確認不足な点がありますが、ご容赦ください。

実は仕事上で Linux を使うために potato を install しましたが、man が日
本語で表示されるものとされないものがあります。
それは当り前なんですが、ls とか cp とか基本的なものが表示されないんで
す。

install には「よしりんシステムズ」で配付している Official release のも
のを使い、まったく新規で install しています。

以前にも potato が frozen な時に、自分の Linux Box を slink から
potato に apt-get dist-upgrade かけた時にも同様の現象にあいました。
# 2000/06/20 時点のことです。

その時はいつも Linux を教えて貰ってる Debian User の方 (woody) に
manpath.config を見せてもらって、自分で /etc/manpath.config を修正した
ら日本語で表示されるようになったのですが、今回も同じようなことが原因に
なってるのではないかと思います。

同様の現象が再現される方はいらっしゃらないでしょうか？

参考までに新規installした potato の manpath.config を引用します。

MANPATH_MAP	/usr/local/bin		/usr/local/share/man
MANPATH_MAP	/usr/local/sbin		/usr/local/share/man

を追加すると良いように思うのですが、私がなにか間違ったんでしょうか？
