Xの設定とドライバに関してですが,
モニターの垂直, 水平周波数は正しいですか? 
解像度は24bitの1280x1024であってますか?
現時点でドライバはvesaを使おうとしているみたいですがまずその辺りを調べて
みてはどうでしょう. vesaがどの程度使えるのか知りませんので的外してたら
すいませんが.
