ALSA のモジュールは /lib/modules/<version>/asound/ 以下だっけ ?

 /lib/modules/<version>/modules.dep に何かあります ?

最近 ALSA をぜんぜん使ってないので覚えてないのですが、
JF の alsa-install-howto を見ると

# /etc/modules.conf ファイル
# ALSA portion
alias snd-card-0 snd-card-interwave
alias snd-card-1 snd-card-ens1371
# OSS/Free portion
alias sound-slot-0 snd-card-0
alias sound-slot-1 snd-card-1

# /etc/modules.conf ファイル
# OSS/Free portion - card #1
alias sound-service-0-0 snd-mixer-oss
alias sound-service-0-1 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-3 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-service-0-8 snd-seq-oss
alias sound-service-0-12 snd-pcm-oss
# OSS/Free portion - card #2
alias sound-service-1-0 snd-mixer-oss
alias sound-service-1-3 snd-pcm-oss
alias sound-service-1-12 snd-pcm-oss

なんて例が載っているので、ALSA 関連のメッセージであることは
間違い無さそうですね。

で、"Can't locate module sound-slot-0" ってのは、何かの
モジュールが sound-slot-0 というモジュールを要求してるけれど
 /etc/modules.conf には sound-slot-o の alias が設定されて
ないから、どのモジュールを insmod すればいいのかわからなくて
エラーメッセージを出してる、ってことじゃないかな ?

やはり /lib/modules/<version>/ 以下を調べたほうがいいような。

 snd.o というモジュールがどこかに残ってませんか ?
あと soundcore.o といモジュールも。

 /etc/gom/NO_AUTO_INIT は名前変更済みですよね ?

ふむ。sound だけ insmod してもカードのドライバーが無いと
ダメですね。

手元の機械では sb ドライバー使ってるので /etc/modutils/gom を

#post-install sound /etc/init.d/gom start >/dev/null 2>&1
post-install sb /etc/init.d/gom start >/dev/null 2>&1

として update-modules したら、うまく動くようになったみたいです。
