お久しぶり、

このGPDFのCJK表示 BUG １年以上ホッタラカシのようですが、
どなたかパッチご存知ですか？

GNOMEを選んだ際の標準PDFのブラウザーが動かないのは不便ですよね。

I tried to display PDF files created by Debian Reference.
 (from debian-reference-ja package as
  /usr/share/doc/Debian/reference/reference.ja.pdf)

gv, gnome-gv, xpdf all display Japanese OK (I have gs-esp installed).

 (We have some separate font size isuues but that seems to be fixed in
 incoming as I heard.)

gpdf does not display Japanese at ALL.  This is very bad.  I also
checked Chinese for both zh_CN, zh_TW.  Both did not while others
display OK.  This seems to be existing over a year.

It looks to me gpdf assumes 8 bit encodings.

Does anyone know the fix?  This should be fixed for release.
