\subsection{東京エリアDebian勉強会}

 Debian勉強会へようこそ。これからDebianの世界にあしを踏み入れると
 いう方も、すでにどっぷりとつかっているという方も、月に一回Debianについ
 て語りませんか？

 Debian勉強会の目的は下記です。

 関西 Debian 勉強会はDebian GNU/Linux のさまざ
 まなトピック(新しいパッケージ、Debian 特有の機能の仕組、Debian 界隈で起
 こった出来事、などなど）について話し合う会です。

 目的として次の三つを考えています。

\subsection{はじめに}

そのへんに生えているDebian使いにとって、メンテナンスしているパッケージのバグレポートというのはありがたいものです。なぜなら、気づいていなかった問題をバグレポートをきっかけに改善できるからです。その一方で、実機を持っていなかったりすると、いくら報告してもらえても、手元に環境がなくてつらい思いをすることがあります。

今回はDebianの移植作業用のインフラを借りる機会があったのでその内容を紹介します。\footnote{2016年3月現在の情報で、現在では若干記述が古くなっている箇所があります。該当箇所には注記を入れてあります。}

\subsection{porterboxとは何か？}

porterboxは移植作業用のベアメタルサーバーの総称です。Debian開発者なら誰でも使えることになっています。Debianではさまざまなアーキテクチャをサポートしているので、アーキテクチャごとにサーバーが用意されています。

Debianの開発に用いられているサーバーのリストは\url{https://db.debian.org/machines.cgi}から入手することができます。ただし、移植作業用のサーバー以外のものも含まれているため、porterboxのみ知りたいときには向きません。

そんなときに便利なのが、porterboxコマンドです。\url{https://github.com/jbernard/porterbox}から入手することができます。シンプルなPythonスクリプトで、これを実行すると移植作業用のサーバーのリストが得られます。

\subsection{なぜporterboxを借りたのか？}

みなさんおなじみ、FTBFS\footnote{Fails To Build From Source。あまり遭遇したくない魔法の言葉。GCC-6への移行であなたもたぶん無縁ではいられない。}です。バグレポートがきました。しかも非x86\_64アーキテクチャです。実機など当然ありません。

しかも、以下の環境で問題があることがわかっていました。

ふつうのDebian使いには、なかなかつらい環境です。QEMUを使えばいいのかとも思いましたが、あまりその方面に明るくなかったため、たまたまその存在を知ったporterboxを借りることにしました。

\subsection{どうやって借りたらいいのか？}

ゲストアカウントの申請については、ドキュメントがまとめられています。（ただし、現在ではこの情報は古くなっていて、\url{https://nm.debian.org/}からporterboxのゲストアカウントの申請を行えるようになっているとのことです。便利になりましたね。そのため、以前はこうだったという紹介にとどめます。）

最初のStep 1.ではスポンサーしてくれるDebian開発者を探します。さすがにどこの馬の骨だかわからない人にまでサーバーを気前よく貸してくれたりはしません。次のStep 2.では必要事項を記入したアカウント申請メールをスポンサーすることにこころよく応じてくれたDebian開発者へと送ります。アカウント名や、DMUPへの同意、借りたいサーバーやその理由などをしたためます。

Step 3.ではスポンサーしてくれたDebian開発者にお願いして\url{http://rt.debian.org}にそのためのチケットを起票してもらいます。このチケットは基本的にふつうのDebian使いには見れません。あとは、ひたすらDSAの中の人がアカウントを用意してくれるのを待ちます。

アカウントの用意ができると、メールで中の人から通知が届きます。以下のようなコマンド\footnote{ldapscriptsパッケージが必要です。}を実行すると、実際に申請したアカウントの用意ができているか確認できます。

上記の例だと、minkus\footnote{ホスト名の由来は作曲家・劇場指揮者・ヴァイオリニストであるLeon Fedorovich Minkusから。}とetler\footnote{ホスト名の由来は作曲家・オーボエ奏者であるAlvin Derald Etlerから。CPUは龍芯3号 by 中国科学院だったりします。}が使えることがわかります。

最後に忘れてはならないのが、ssh鍵の登録です。次のようにして、ssh鍵を登録します。

\subsection{おわりに}

今回は、Debianのインフラのひとつであるporterboxを借りる方法を紹介しました。実環境を用意するのが難しい場合には、ぜひ活用するとよいのではないでしょうか。1度の申請につき、3ヶ月くらい借りられます。
