google で "wharf window manager" で引くといろいろ出てきます :-)
多分実行中プロセスのアイコンを置くところなんでしょうが、
日本語にはなってないようなのでそのまま wharf でいいと思います。

　リーダース英和辞典によると

 bells and whistles
 《製品などの》 必須ではない付加物, 付加機能[部分],
  飾り, 添えもの, おまけ, よけいなもの, 安っぽい装飾品.

だそうです。
