これですが、mutt-devというとこで質問してみると

ということだそうで。

でも私のDebianマシンは「Satellite system」なので、SMTP delivery agent
(実体はsmail)に来たのはみんなPOPサーバに投げちゃうのでどうどうめぐり。

それで fetchmail では procmail を介してspoolに落すわけですが、そこで
ドットを落す処理をしなきゃならんようですね。

fetchpopは直接スプールに落とせるのだから、そこで
ドットを落す処理をしてないのは単なる手抜きじゃないですかね。
