こちらでも出ます。(;_;) ptex-bin_2.1.8-2です。試しにstraceしてみたら、

うーん、そうすると、locale関係?

環境変数が

LANG=ja_JP.ujis
LC_CTYPE=C
LC_ALL=C

の状態で、以下のようになります。

% ptex -version

現在、このような環境です。コンパイルしたとき(先週の金曜の夜)は
どうだったか覚えてません。

% dpkg -l libc6 wcsmbs-locale
(略)

隠れてみえませんが、libc6は2.0.7pre1-4.wcsmbs.2です。
