/etc/syslog.conf のあやまりというわけではないです。意図していたのは

 勝手に local5.info を /var/log/smtplog にだすようにしたけど
 いちおう/etc/syslog.conf をチェックしてね。
 local5.!=info とか /var/log/message (に出力するように|のエントリに)
 追加するのも いいかもね。

くらいだった(はず、たしか(^^;))

まぁ 混乱しているようなので次のバージョンから消しておきます。
