がーん。(^_^;) (ここまで書いて数時間放置)

気をとりなおして調べてみました。cslatex.postinstが実際にどう動くか
確かめました。

まず怪しいのは、17行目の

TEXINPUTS=`kpsepath -n cslatex tex`

です。この値は、

$ kpsepath -n cslatex tex
.:!!/usr/share/texmf/tex/cslatex//:!!/usr/share/texmf/tex/csplain//:!!/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex//:!!/usr/share/texmf/tex/generic//:!!/usr/share/texmf/tex///

となるのですが、/usr/share/texmf/tex/cslatexなんてのはありません。
あるのは、/usr/share/texmf/tex/latex/cslatexです。直接TEXINPUTSに
値を代入して、下のように19行目の処理をさせたのですが、状況に変化は
ありませんでした。

次に、問題の19行目をリダイレクトせずに実行しました。

どこかでみたような状態で止まっています(^_^)。ここでリターンキーを押すと
最後まで処理します。

香田さんはきっと最新のLaTeXを入れているはず、その関係でこのエラーが
出なかったと思うのですが、どうでしょうか?

ちなみに、latex.ltxを提供するパッケージtetex-binは、こちらの環境では、
ii  tetex-base     1.0-10         basic teTeX library files
です。
