[debian-users:47466] xdviのエラー

こんにちは。さいとうと申します。

sidを使用しているのですが、最近いつの頃からか、xdvi(k-ja)で
tgif作成の日本語が入ったepsを見る時に、エラーが出るように
なりました。
epsファイルはtex中に

\begin{figure}[hbtp]
\epsfig{file=xxx.eps,scale=xx}
\end{figure}

ではりつけてあります。
texやdvi自体は以前からかえていません。
また、eps出力前のobjファイルはtgifで日本語を問題無く見られます。

を入れています。情報が足りなければ御指摘下さい。
tetex-*やxdvik-ja,gs-gpl,gsをtestingの版と入れ換えてみても同じ現象が起きました。

どのような設定が悪いのでしょうか?
上記エラー時はどうしてみると、何かがわかるものでしょうか?
