<p>Welcome to this year's 33rd issue of DWN, the weekly newsletter for the

<p><strong>Distribution-wide Tracker Tool.</strong> Arnaud Fontaine <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-qa/2006/08/msg00039.html";>reported</a>
about the status of Wotomae, the <a href="http://wiki.debian.org/DWTT";>\
distribution-wide tracker tool</a>. The DWTT is a tool to easily track
changes affecting packages, like a library transition, a switch of the default
Python version or a policy change. It is written during Google's <a
href="http://code.google.com/summerofcode.html";>Summer of Code</a>. A demo
website is also <a href="http://netu.naquadah.org:8080/";>available</a> with
most of the features up for testing.</p>
<p><strong>Distribution-wide Tracker Tool.</strong>

<p><strong>Orphaned Packages.</strong> 13 packages were orphaned this week and
require a new maintainer. This makes a total of 338 orphaned packages. Many
thanks to the previous maintainers who contributed to the Free Software
community. Please see the <a href="$(HOME)/devel/wnpp/">WNPP pages</a> for
the full list, and please add a note to the bug report and retitle it to ITA:
if you plan to take over a package. To find out which orphaned packages are
installed on your system the <code>wnpp-alert</code> program from <code>
devscripts</code> may be helpful.</p>
