チームからの一言</a>を投稿しました。この中で Antonio さんは Wheezy
に収録されるデフォルトの Ruby インタプリタが Ruby 1.9 になることを発表しました。Ruby
1.8 は Wheezy のライフサイクル中は Debian で利用可能ですが、上流開発側のセキュリティサポートが<a
href="http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/news/2011/10/06/plans-for-1-8-7/";>来年打ち切りられる予定</a>なので、
次回のメジャーリリースには収録されない予定です。デフォルトインタプリタの変更に伴い、Debian ユーザは
Ruby 1.8 から Ruby 1.9 の間にあった性能面における特筆すべき改良に伴う恩恵を受けられます。
デフォルトのインタプリタとして Ruby 1.8 を利用し続けたいユーザは <a
href="http://packages.debian.org/unstable/main/ruby-switch";>ruby-switch</a> または <a
href="http://packages.debian.org/unstable/main/rbenv";>rbenv</a>
