今年のマナグアでの DebConf は Debian が世界の新たな場所に行くことになりました。
この地は大きなフリーソフトウェアイベントを開催したことがほとんどなく、
プロジェクトは Debian の次の安定版リリースに向けての困難な作業を継続すると同時に、
新しい貢献者との接触や、新たな考え方を知るということが可能になります。

カンファレンスには 32 の国から 200 人ほどの出席者が集まり、
中米の国からの多数の熱心な新規ボランティアを含めた多くの人の
Debian への貢献の第一段階に協力しました。
