AlderLakeのサポートはカーネルの5.16から開始されたらしく、上記の回答でも5.16を使うよう書かれています。
5.16にすることで解決するかどうかを確認できていないので、もしかすると誤った情報かもしれません。
どなたかIntel GPUとカーネルのサポート状況に知見のある方がいたら良いのですが。。。
私の環境がIntel 第11世代で、
・xserver-xorg-video-intelではモニターの解像度の一部しか選択できない
・modesettingで動作させることで解像度選択が可能になった
という経緯があったため、同様の方法で解決できるのではと思っていたのですが、
力になれずすみません
