なかなか、ノートは大変ですね。僕のAKIAの古いノートはLinux用かしら
と、思える程素直だったので…(今は小学生の息子のUNIX学習マシンになっ
てますのでLAN24時間運転でapmは使ってません)

Linuxは困ったときのsource読みですね。

これはapm.cによれば、

気になるのは３番目のフィールドでしょうか。

kondoh> ２．shutdown -h now で自動的に電源は落ちるようになっています。
kondoh> ３．apm -S とすると画面がブラックアウトしますが、キー入力で画面は復帰して
kondoh>     busy: Parameter out of range と表示されています。
kondoh> ４．apm -s とすると画面がブラックアウトして電源ランプのみ点灯しています。
kondoh>     キー入力でも画面は復帰しません。
kondoh>     この状態で電源ボタンをOFF/ON するとresume fail となり再起動となります。


apm.cの初めの方にこうあります。

他にもgpmと相性が悪い場合があるとか、色々と書いてありますが、何と言っても、
これでしょう。やってみては如何でしょうか？
