[debian-devel:14724] man doesn't work on sparc?

Potato だった Sparc を先日一旦 Sid にアップグレード
して，その後 Woody に変更して(安定を狙って)います。

ほとんど問題なかったのですが man man などで

man(1) を再フォーマットしています。しばらくお待ちください...

のように表示に失敗します。groff*, man* などだけを
Sid に上げてみましたが状況は変りませんでした。

# LANG=C man man すれば表示されます。

i386 では sid で問題ないのでさっぱり原因が分りません。
何かアドバイス，ヒントなどあればよろしくお願いします。
