よく知りませんが、
多分そのころ出ることになっていたDebian-Installer lenny RC1が未だに出ていないのが、
関係しているのだと思います。
で、Debian-Installer lenny RC1が出ていないのは、
どうもこの辺りの影響のようです。

debian-installerのような大きなパッケージは基本的に共同メンテナンスされているので、
PTS[1]のMaintainer欄を見るとどこのメーリングリストを見ればいいか大体見当がつきます。
