1. Definitions.
  The following terms are hereby defined under this license.
1.1 "The program" denotes the computer program "Editor's
Work Bench", copyrighted by ASCII corporation and "EWB consortium"
has a license to grant a licensee right to use "the program" under
conditions set out in Section 2,3 and 4 are met. "The program"
includes all files in the distribution, including, but not limited
to source code programs, binaries and documents.
1.2 "The consortium" denotes "EWB consortium", that is organized
to achieve following purposes, a) To study, develop, standardize
and popularize "Editors Work Bench" electrical editing system,
b) to develop prevention system for distribution system and
electrical publishing and c) promoting and patronage related
businesses.
1.3 "Modification of the program" denotes actions of changing,
making derived work from or translating into other languages to
a whole or a part of "the program."
1.4 A "Modified program" denotes a program after "Modification of
the program."
5) "Licensee" denotes one or more person who does "copying" and
distributing "the program" under this license, and also denotes
who does "modification" of "the program" and copying and
distributing "the modified program."
6) "Copying" denotes actions of copying as described in Japanese
Copyright law, and includes automatic public transmission and
action which makes "the program" capable of public transmission,
unless explicitly written in this license.

2. Conditions for copying and distributions
 This organization grants "licensee" to make "modifications of
the program" and "the modified program", if all of the following
conditions are met.

2.1 "The program" or "the modified program" shall be distributed
as a verbatim copy, without any changes and omissions.
2.2 "The program" or "the modified program" shall have a verbatim
copyright notice as is requested by this agreement.
2.3 "The program" or "the modified program" shall have an attached
text file described in section 3.1, without any changes or omissions.
2.4 "The program" or "the modified program" shall be accompanied
by this copyright license agreement.

> 　　当会は被許諾者に対し、被許諾者が以下各号に記載する事項を

3. Modifications
"Modifications" applied to "the program" or "the modified program"
is granted under the following conditions are met.
3.1 manifest of modifications
"Licensee" shall add a notice which claims the name of person who
"modify" "the program", when the "modification" has taken and
detailed explanation of "modification" to the copyright notice
file and history file attached to "the program" or "the modified
program."
3.2 manifest of copyright
 3.2.1 If "Licensee" want to reserve right of the "modified" part,
licensee can add one's copyright notice after copyright notices
attached to "the program". This copyright notice shall have a
following style.
"(c) (Modified year), (name of a copyright holder, either a
juridical or natural person)"
 3.2.2 If "Licensee" want to relinquish any right derived from
one's copyright, licensee shall add a following sentence to a
text file written in Section 3.1.
" (Name of copyright holder, either a juridical or natural person)
transferred any right, including rights mentioned in Japanese
copyright law Section 2 term 27 and 28, to EWB consortium on
(transferred date, that is the date of notification described
in Section 3.3)."
3.3 obligation to inform EWB consortium
 "Licensee" shall make notification by sending copy of "the
modified program" include "modified" part with a text file
written in Section 3.1 to the appointed electric mail address
of "the consortium."
3.4 permission to re-distribution
 "Licensee" shall agree that licensee grants rights to copy,
modify and distribute and rights to grant copy, modify and
distribute to "the consortium" without any fee and for an
indefinite period, and may not claim any person for right to
make public, right related to display copyright holder's name
and right related to identities.

> 　　被許諾者は、第3条に従って自ら変更した「変更プログラム」を、
> 　第2条及び本条に従って、複製及び頒布することが出来るものとす

4. Modification
 4.1 "Licensee" can make "modifications" to "the program" or
"the modified program" under the condition described in
Section 2 or under conditions in this Section.
 4.2 "Licensee" can charge to users of "the modified program"
for granting to use modified portion of the "program".
 4.3 In the case described in Section 4.2, "Licensee" shall
provide certain kind of guarantee for what the users paid.
In this case, licensee shall provide written text or file,
which describes "the consortium", does not provide any kind
of guarantee, either expressed or implied, and the licensee
provides all guarantee which is accompanied with "the modified
program."
 4.4 In the case described in Section 4.2, "Licensee" may not
use the name "EWB" and "Editor's Work Bench" to licensee's
"modified program", and licensee shall inform "the consortium"
the name of the "modified program" that is used for the
distribution by the means described in Section 3.3.

> 　又は頒布を行えば、それ自体で、被許諾者は本契約を承諾し、且つ、

5. Consents
 By copying, modifying or distributing the "program" or the
"modified program", "Licensee" are agreeing to be bound by
the terms and conditions of this agreement regarding to
copying, modifying or distributing of the "program" or the
"modified program"

> 　　被許諾者は、当会が被許諾者に対し、「プログラム」又は「変更プ
> 　ログラム」を現状有姿のまま提供し、当会は、「プログラム」又は「変
> 　更プログラム」に関して、商品適合性および特定の目的に対する適合性
> 　に関する黙示の保証等を含む、明示または黙示の一切の保証を行なわ

6. No warranty
 "Licensee" shall agree that "this consortium" provide the
"the program" and "the modified program" AS IS without ANY
WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, either expressed or implied, including,
but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability
and fitness for a particular purpose.

> 　いて、両当事者は東京地方裁判所を専属的合意管轄裁判所とすること

7. Competence of juridical disputes.
"Licensee" shall agree that any suits between "the consortium"
vs. "Licensee" will solely take to the Tokyo district court.
