in the /home directory の in をあらわにするために，
「…<file>/home</file> ディレクトリ以下は一切…」というのはいかがでしょう．

それから，「プロセス」よりは「アップグレードの過程では、」「アップグ
レード中には、」ですかねえ．
カナでプロセスとあると，apt-get dist-upgrade コマンドを実行して，そ
のコマンドがプロセスとなって PID を与えられて……というほうのプロセ
スに思えてしまいそうなので．

hidden は files and directories の両者にかかるわけですから，日本語文
では冗漫になってしまいますが，「隠しファイルと隠しディレクトリ」とし
たほうがいいように思えます．
以降の，dotfiles で，ディレクトリも対象となるのは分かりますが，まぎ
れのないように．
