私も hamm の emacs20 + mew + pgp-i で C-c C-s (署名) はできるが
C-c C-e (暗号化) はできない、という状態だったので、いろいろ
試していましたが、結局、はったさんと矢吹さんが書かれたとおり、
(setq mew-mail-address "[From に書くメールアドレス]") を
指定するとうまくいきました。もともと (setq mew-from "アドレス") を
設定してあったのですが、これだけではダメなようです。
現在の状態は以下のとおりです。( mew だけ slink のにしてます。)

暗号化するだけなら pgp5i は無くても良いですね。
# pgp5i の pgpk -d (disable) に相当する機能って 2.6.3a-4 にもあるんでしょうか。
一応、確認してみましたが、hamm の mew_1.93b33-1 でも mew-mail-address を
指定すれば、emacs20/xemacs20 で C-c C-e を使ってメールを暗号化できます。
P.S.
なお、これを試してみる前に、 mew_1.93-2 mew-pgp.el を眺めて 44 行目の
(defconst mew-pgp-msg-no-enckey '("Key matching" "No encryption keys"))
を
(defconst mew-pgp-msg-no-enckey '("1 matching key found" "0 matching key found"))
に変更してみたら ( ~/.my-lisp/mew-pgp.el にコピーして M-x load-file )
slink-jp の mew_1.93-2 では mew-mail-address 指定無しでも
emacs20 で C-c C-s を使ってメールの暗号化を実行できました。
(hamm の mew_1.92b33-1 ではダメだった) まあこれはちょっと試して
みただけなので、お勧めはしません。 mew-mail-address を指定した
ほうが良いと思います。
