[debian-users:15357] [Q] unable to make ppxp on slink

[Q]
slink にて、ppxpをインストールしようとして、苦労しています。

カーネルは2.2.8 、ethertapを有効[y] にしています。
slink でのppxpはuserlinkに依存しており、インストールはしたものの
ppxp自体が正常に起動してくれません。

そこで、

に記載されている内容に従い、ppxpのソース、パッチ等を入手。
dpkg-source -x ppxp_0.98112523-8.dsc
dpkg-buildpackage
を実行しました。

というエラーメッセージが出て先に進めません。

恐らく何らかの開発用パッケージをインストールしていない故のエラーでは
ないかと思うのですが、何が足りないのでしょうか?
