守護(シュゴ)といいます．gnumeric で教えてください．

  インストール後に gnumeric を起動させますと，10行ほどのエラー
メッセージが出るものの，メニュー日本語表示，内容，操作性など
問題なく起動できました．しかし，欲を出して，こちらのスレッド
とhttp://www.levien.com/gnome/font-install.htmlを見て以下の
ように 日本語を含む?! fontmap を作ってみようと思ったのが間違
いでした．
  gnome-font-install 後に起動できなくなりました．

 --pfb-assignment=ghostscript,/usr/lib/ghostscript/fonts/

/usr/share/fonts/fontmap

  その後は，/usr/share/fonts/fontmap もサイズが極端に小さく
なり(うまく作成されていないので当然でしょうか?)，gnumericが
以下のように起動できなくなりました．

 % gnumeric

Gnumeric failed to find a suitable default font.

Please verify your gnome-print installation and that your fontmap file
(typically located in /usr/local/share/fonts/fontmap) is not empty or
near empty.
If you still have no luck, please file a proper bug report (see
http://bugs.gnome.org) including the following extra items:

1. Values of LC_ALL and LANG environment variables.
2. Your fontmap file, see above.

  以下のようにバージョンはあがっています．
ii  gnumeric        0.38-3         GNOME SpreadSheet
ii  libgnome32      1.0.53-1       The Gnome libraries

  そこで，以下について教えてください．

1.gnome-font-install で fontmap が作成できている方がいらした
ら，そのときのコマンドとオプションを教えてください．

2.gnumericのなかで，日本語フォントを選択(メニュー以外にシー
ト，セルのなかで表示)するための手段をあわせて教えていただけ
ますと幸いです．

  Webでも情報がほとんどないような状況でして，こちらのスレッ
ドだけが情報源です．もしほかにも情報源ありましたら，そちらの
参照先を教えていただくだけでもけっこうです．どうぞよろしくお
願いします．
