[debian-users:20246] Cannot upgrade cbb

西野＠大阪市立大学です。

研究室のコンピュータですが、
dselect(Access methodはaptを選んでます)でslink-proposed-updatesに
入っているcbbをインストールしてcbbをアップグレードしようとしたら、
3番目のInstallの段階で以下のようなエラーがでます。

何回インストールをやり直しても上記のようなエラーが出ます。
それで、一旦削除しようと思って、dselectの2番目のselectの段階で
削除するように指定して削除しようとすると

running dpkg --pending --remove ...
dpkg: error processing cbb (--remove):
 Package is in a very bad inconsistent state - you should
 reinstall it before attempting a removal.
Errors were encountered while processing:
 cbb

dpkg --remove returned error exit status 1.

というエラーが出て削除できません。ccbをアップグレードすることも
削除することもできなくなりました。
とりあえず、アップグレードしたいのですがどうすればいいのでしょうか。
アドバイスお願いいたします。
なお、現在のccbの状況は

pFR cbb             0.81-0         The Check-Book Balancer - a Quicken clone

となってます。
