[debian-users:20641] Install Error

Dear sir,

I have now installing Debian Linux(2.0.34) on Toshiba 660 pro PC.
I have tried 2 method.

No. 1 Method
PC condition and disk partition:
total disk area: 4 giga byte
Windows98 area: 2 giga    ..... FAT32
Room for Linux: 2 giga     ......note:this is free for Linux, I think
I have copied 4 files(install.bat, loadlin.exe, linux, root.bin) from
CD.
dir: D\debian\hamm\hamm\disks-i386\2.0.10_1998-07-21
The consequence of run the "install.bat" is NG.
After showing more than 50 messages, PC stopped by
showing bellow message.
"Kernel panic:VFS:Unable to mount on 01:00.

No. 2 method
I have cleared the disk windows 98 partition for Linux, so
windows can not recognize the disk.
I have started the PC by floppy disk(resc1440.bin)
And I have pushed ENTER key by responsed the prompt "boot:".
Below messages appeared.
    Loading root.bin.......
    Loading linux ......................
But suddenly PC has reset.

I am waiting your answer or suggestion by considering the above
explanation.

I want to try "-safe" or "-tecra" version by Junichi, if possible.
Please tell me how to use "-safe" or "-tecra" version.

versions of the
floppy.
