[debian-users:25215] dpkg database broken? plz help...

  古澤です。

  新しいハードウェアを購入したところ友達に NVIDIA を自慢され(私は
  Matrox)こっちも XFree86 4.0.1 with DRI で対抗してやるもんね、と柄にも
  なく kernel-2.4.0test10 をインストールし、 いろいろ apt-get install し
  ていたところ、突如すべてのプログラムが Segmentation Fault を起こしはじ
  めたのであわてて再起動をかけました。ところが halt もコケてしまい目の前
  でカーネルがボロボロ崩れていくので、已むなく電源断して fsck をかけてか
  ら再起動しました。

  とりあえず自分のレベルでは開発版カーネルは無謀としり、旧カーネルを
  dpkgで入れようとしたのですが、


dpkg: conflicting diversions involving `/Package: telnet' or `/Status: install ok installed'

と言われ実行できず。この後いろいろと試してみましたがパッケージに関係する
ことすべてにこのエラーが出てまったく先にすすめなくなりました(--debug=を
つけてお何も情報がでない)。


  他にわかることといえば fsck をかけたときにできたファイルの中に

  -rw-r--r--    1 root     root       741661 11月 19 03:48 /tmp/status
  
に相当するものがあったこと、/var/lib/dpkg の中に status.broken

  というものがありその差分が以下のようになっていることでしょうか。

 …としてみたけれどこれ以上はちょっと検討がつきません。

もちろん再インストールするのがてっとり早いし確実なのは分っているのですが
、hamm 以来 dist-upgrade してきた Debian なので愛着があるのです、何かお
気づきの点や、 dpkg 関係の tips がありましたら教えていただけないでしょう
か。
