[debian-users:27740] X on i815 on board VGA



大野と申します。
いつもお世話になっております。

i815のマザーボード(CUSL2)のオンボードVGAで
Xを立ち上げようとしているのですが、うまくいきません。
環境:Debian 2.2 (potato), kernel 2.2.19, XFree86 3.3.6

過去ログなどから、XFree86 4.0にすれば、大丈夫そうなことはわかっているん
ですが、
できれば、今の環境のままにしておきたいと思っています。

やったことは、ここや他のMLを参考に、
1.agpgartが、VGAを正しく認識していることを確認。
 dmesgの表示より、
 Linux agpgart interface v0.99 (c) Jeff Hartmann
 agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 190M
 agpgart: agpgart: Detected an Intel i815 Chipset.
 agpgart: AGP aperture is 64M @ 0xf8000000
 正しく認識されているようです。
2. Intelのサイト(http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/intel810/linu
xsoftware.htm)
 から、xfcom_i810-1.2-3.i386.rpmをダウンロードして、インストール。
 rpm -ivh xfcom_i810-1.2-3.i386.rpmとすると、ライブラリがないと言われる
のですが、

 実際は、すべて/libにあるので、
 rpm -ivh --nodeps xfcom_i810-1.2-3.i386.rpmとして、インストール。
3.リンクのはりなおし
 ln -s /usr/X11R6/bin/XFCom_i810 /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_SVGA
 ln -s /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_SVGA /usr/X11R6/bin/X
4./etc/X11/XF86Configの編集
 Intel i740として設定しておいて、i740のところをi815に書き換えました。
 長くなるので、最後につけておきます。
5.startx -- -bpp 16と起動すると、以下のエラーとなります。

6.どうもオンボードVGAがXに認識されてないようなので、/etc/X11/XF86Config
の
 i815のところをi810にしてみましたが、同じでした。
