[debian-users:32432] gnumeric の文字コード

  先日は、gnumeric の日本語表示に関しての質問にいろいろアドバイスをい
ただきました。皆さんにお礼を申し上げます。

さて、この日本語を入れた gnumeric のファイルを excel95 mode でファイル
にし、samba 経由で windows98 の excel で表示させると、文字化けしてしま
います。

この文字化けしたファイルに windows98 側で日本語を入力して、それを
gnumeric で見ると、今度はちゃんと読めます。で、再び何か別の文字を入れ
て windows98 へ持っていくと、また文字化けします。

つまり、windows のデータを linux へ持ってくることは出来ますが、逆が出
来ない状態です。

gnumeric にも excel にもコードを設定するようなメニューが見当たりません。
samba の設定が悪いのかな？とも思いますが、よくわかりません。

使っているバージョンは

普通のテキストファイルは linux 側で nkf -s で変換するのですが、
gnumeric ではそうもいきません。

どのようにすれば、windows と linux でデータの共用が出来るようになるの
でしょうか。
