御指摘の方法で解決しました。

たしかに、そのあと「ブートローダーなしで続ける」かどうかのnoteが出ます。
ひととおりインストールが終了したあと

 # debconf-get-selections --installer > file
 # debconf-get-selections >> file

として内容を見ても、nobootloaderのnoteに関するものは見当たりません。
しかし 1st stage の最後の

 d-i	prebaseconfig/reboot_in_progress	note 

で消したリブートの確認のかわりに、このまま残して置こうと思います。
