発表論文募集中 (Call for Papers)。Margarita Manterola さんは、メキシコ
のオアステペックで開催予定の今年の DebConf[7] の前の、5 月 13 日土曜日
に開催される予定の Debian Day[8] の発表要旨を募集しました[9]。発表は、
内容が理解しやすく非常に明解かつ簡潔であり、聴衆が Debian についての予
備知識を要しないものである必要があります。

debmake 廃止過程。Santiago Vila さんは、debmake[10] の廃止について報告
しました[11]。1 年前に、新しいパッケージに対する debmake の使用が非推
奨とされ、内包のプログラム deb-make が廃止されました。次の段階はこのツー
ルからの切り替えと、残りのパッケージ[12]に対する最終的なリリースクリティ
カル (release critical、RC) バグの報告です。Anthony Towns さんは、
wishlist バグを適切なユーザタグとともに記録するよう提案しました[13]。

より多くのボランティアの参加を。Joseph Michael Smidt さんは、人々はみ

/var/run 内にディレクトリを作成してほしいというユーザからの要求[16]を

Debian アーカイブ鍵の保守。Petter Reinholdtsen さんは、新しいアーカイ
ブ鍵が無いために etch[21] のアップグレードにおいて問題があることに気づ
きました[22]。Joey Hess さんは、この問題によって安定版の Debian リリー
スがインストール不可能に陥るのかどうかについて思案しました[23]。セキュ
リティアップデートで更新された鍵を配布する[24]のは、安定版リリースに関
する過去のポリシーに反する[25]ことになり、ユーザは鍵を更新しなければ最
新の安定版リリースをインストールできなくなるでしょう。
