なるほど、そういえばアップグレード途中にこのメッセージがでましたね！
結構はじめの頃に出てきたので忘れてました（恥
#リモートでのアップグレードはいつも緊張して何か抜けてしまいます・・・

しっかり、/etc/group.orgファイルが存在しておりました。
なにかモヤモヤがとれてすっきりました。

いえ、
auth       required   pam_wheel.so
# auth       sufficient pam_wheel.so trust
なので、パスワードありのwheelグループのみsuが許される感じになっております。
#さすがにパスワード無しにする勇気はありません(^^;
