[debian-users:54266] libc をインストールできない

お世話になります。藤野です。

少し前にセットアップした Lenny(i386版) のlibcをあやまって
消してしまい、パッケージマネージャからソフトウェアを
インストール出来なくなってしまい、困っております。

状況は以下のとおりです。

上記のとおりです。
似たような事例関係で記事を調べていたところ、ldconfigがパスに無いのでは
と思い、捜してみるもldconfig自体がありませんでした。
さらにldconfigはlibc6パッケージに収録されているようで、困りました。

最初にこのようになった原因は、全く別のパッケージ（動画再生関連のライブラ
リ
だったと記憶しております）をインストール時、aptitudeが依存関係を
解決してくれていた際にターミナルが強制終了された時です。

「apt-get -f install」を実行し修復を試みましたが、
同じく、ldconfig not foundでエラーとなってしまいます。
他のあらゆるパッケージをインストールしようとしても、やはり
ldconfigが無いと怒られます。
aptitudeの提案に従って自己解決しようと試行錯誤した結果、
さらに悪化し、localeも消えたままインストールできなくなってしまいました。

もし対処法をご存知の方がいらっしゃいましたら、
どうぞお力添えをお願い致します。
