[debian-users:54328] postgresql-8.3 upgrade faild

長谷川と申します。lenny を使用しています。

早速ですが apt-get upgrade 時に postgresql-8.3 がエラーとなります。
スクリプトからのエラーがでているため完了できないようなのですが
remove を指定しても

dpkg: error processing postgresql-8.3 (--remove):
 Package is in a very bad inconsistent state - you should
 reinstall it before attempting a removal.

となり削除できません。
この場合、postgresql を削除または再導入するにはどうしたらよい
でしょうか。
