「古い wiki のコンテンツ」という語順だと，wiki のバージョンが古くて，
コンテンツの新旧には言及していないようにも読めてしまうので，
「Wiki の古いコンテンツを」という語順はいかがでしょうか．

"explained"からリンクしているメールは，当初の発言者の Joerg Sommer 
さんが出しているものですから，新たに "Later J?g" さんが発言したのではなく，

ですから，ここの Later は「後で or のちに」ですね．

2つのうちどちらか，という感じの文だと分かりやすいような．
以下は訳案とその意図．

M B さんは、なぜ X.Org と Mesa の両者が GL/GLU の実装のライブラリを
提供しているのか、長期的にはどちらか 1 つだけを使うようにするつもり
があるのかについて<a>疑問に思いました</a>。

意図: why both A and B という語順から考えると「(提供してるのが)2つも
あるのはなんで？」というイメージを前面に出したほうがよさそう，only
one of them は「どちらか 1つだけ|1つのみ」と"どちらか"を使って2つの
うちの1つの感じを出す．
