<p><strong>Avoiding native Debian Packages.</strong> Panu Kalliokoski <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/02/msg01193.html";>wondered</a>
why one should not add Debian packaging information to upstream
packages. Lars Wirzenius <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/02/msg01194.html";>explained</a>
the benefits as keeping package fixes out of upstream and to simplify
things if the upstream maintainer is no longer a Debian developer.
Henning Makholm <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/02/msg01207.html";>added</a>
that the lack of Debian-specific information indicates that the package
might be useful by any GNU/Linux distribution.</p>

<p><strong>Debian ネイティブのパッケージングを避ける。</strong>
Panu Kalliokoski さんは、なぜ上流のパッケージに Debian
のパッケージング情報を追加すべきでないのか<a

<p><strong>/usr/doc Transition finished.</strong> Joey Hess <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/03/msg00166.html";>announced</a>
that he has opened bug reports for the last remaining packages which still
create <code>/usr/doc</code> symlinks.  This final step marks the end of the
era of regular documentation in <code>/usr/doc</code>.</p>

<p><strong>/usr/doc の移行が完了。</strong>
Joey Hess さんは、いまだに <code>/usr/doc</code>
にシンボリックリンクを作成しているパッケージに対して、バグレポートをオープンしたと<a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/03/msg00166.html";>発表しました</a>。
この最後のステップは、<code>/usr/doc</code>

<p><strong>Device Mapper Support for Block Device ID Library.</strong>
Theodore Ts'o <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/03/msg00265.html";>reported</a>
that he has received a patch which allows the block device id library to
properly handle device mapper partitions.  Since this would essentially drag
in three more libraries into everybody's systems he wondered if this would be
acceptable.  Mike Hommey <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/03/msg00267.html";>stated</a>
that two of them have already been added via other packages.</p>

<p><strong>ブロックデバイス ID ライブラリのデバイスマッパーサポート。</strong>
Theodore Ts'o さんは、ブロックデバイス id
ライブラリがデバイスマッパーパーティションを正しく扱うためのパッチを受け取ったと<a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2006/03/msg00265.html";>報告しました</a>。
さらに三つのライブラリをシステムにインストールする必要があるので、
