<p><strong>Etch Release Update.</strong> Andreas Barth <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2006/05/msg00000.html";>\
confirmed</a> the timeline to release <a href="$(HOME)/releases/etch/">\
etch</a> in December.  He stated that the <a href="$(HOME)/ports/arm/">\
ARM</a> port qualifies as a release architecture again and that the list of
release architectures are not finalised and will be re-evaluated twice before
the release.  The kernel that will be used still needs to be decided upon.  More release
assistants will help keep the release on track.</p>

<p><strong>Etch リリース情報アップデート。</strong>
Andreas Barth さんは、12 月に <a href="$(HOME)/releases/etch/">\
etch</a> をリリースするためのスケジュールを<a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2006/05/msg00000.html";>\
確認しました</a>。Barth さんによれば、<a href="$(HOME)/ports/arm/">\
ARM</a> 移植版が再びリリース対象アーキテクチャとして認定されましたが、
リリース対象アーキテクチャのリストは最終確定しておらず、リリースまでに 2 度の
見直しが行なわれる予定です。使用されるカーネルについては、これから決める必要が
あります。予定通りにリリースするためには、さらなる手助けが役に立つでしょう。</p>

<p><strong>Tracking forwarded bugs in the BTS.</strong> Pierre Habouzit <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2006/05/msg00001.html";>\
announced</a> the creation of a new service called <a
href="http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/bts-link/trunk/";>bts-link</a>. It
allows Debian Maintainers to follow the status of the bugs they
forward to their upstream's bug tracking
systems directly in the Debian BTS. As of now, it supports
<a href="http://www.bugzilla.org/";>Bugzilla</a> (which
is used by KDE, Gnome, X.org, GCC, Mozilla and others),
<a href="http://www.edgewall.com/trac/";>Trac</a> (used by VideoLAN) and
<a href="http://savannah.gnu.org/";>Savannah</a>. <a
href="http://www.sourceforge.net/";>Sourceforge</a>'s bug tracking system
shall follow.</p>

<p><strong>転送したバグを BTS 内で追跡。</strong>

新しいサービスを作ったと<a

<p><strong>Automating new Debian Installations with Preseeding.</strong> A new
<a href="http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/394";>document</a>
describes the technique of doing unattended Debian installations with
preseeding.  The preseed file contains answers to all <a
href="http://packages.debian.org/debconf";>debconf</a> questions asked during
the installation.  Its generation is explained in the article.  The file's
location may be given as a path or a URL.</p>
