Debian community.  Matt Brown <a
href="http://www.mattb.net.nz/blog/2005/10/26/lightweight-debian-archive-scripts/";>\
created</a> a couple of wrapper scripts around sbuild and debarchiver to
automatically build uploaded packages.  Isaac Clerencia <a
href="http://people.warp.es/~isaac/blog/index.php/debian-kde-deployment-for-elderly-people-32";>\
reported</a> that the <a href="http://www.zaragoza.es";>Zaragoza City Hall</a>
has deployed a thin-client solution based on Debian in six elderly
centres.</p>

<p><strong>Homepage Location in Package Description.</strong> Kai Hendry <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-policy/2006/06/msg00037.html";>pointed
out</a> that the way URLs are listed in package descriptions is a hack which in
practice commonly defers from the Developer's <a
href="$(HOME)/doc/developers-reference/ch-best-pkging-practices.en.html#s-bpp-upstream-info">\
reference</a>.  Margarita Manterola <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-policy/2006/06/msg00038.html";>suggested</a>
to first patch dpkg with a Homepage field in order to address this problem in
policy.  Rapha&euml;l Hertzog finally recommended this meta field should be
incorporated in a Web application of a <a
href="http://wiki.debian.org/CRMI";>collaborative repository of
meta information</a> for packages.</p>

Kai Hendry さんは、パッケージ説明文中で URL を列挙する方法が、実際のところ<a
href="$(HOME)/doc/developers-reference/ch-best-pkging-practices.en.html#s-bpp-upstream-info">\
開発者リファレンス</a>に準じたハックであると<a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-policy/2006/06/msg00037.html";>指摘しました</a>。
Margarita Manterola さんは、この問題をポリシー関連のものとするためにも、
まずは dpkg が Homepage フィールドに対応するためのパッチ適用を<a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-policy/2006/06/msg00038.html";>提案しました</a>。
最後に Rapha&euml;l Hertzog さんが、このメタフィールドはパッケージ用に <a
href="http://wiki.debian.org/CRMI";>Collaborative Repository of
Meta Information</a> のウェブアプリケーションに組み込まれるべきだと勧めました。</p>

<p><strong>Debian Community Conference Italy.</strong> Marco Bertorello <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-events-eu/2006/06/msg00010.html";>announced</a>
the Debian community <a
href="http://italiandebconf.debianizzati.org/index.php/English_Info";>conference</a>
to take place on the 16th and 17th September in Venice, Italy.  This
conference is organised by the Italian Debian community and aims at users,
developers, translators and all those who love Debian.</p>
