<p>Welcome to this year's 31st issue of DWN, the weekly newsletter for the
Debian community.  Christoph Berg <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-qa/2006/07/msg00093.html";>announced</a>
nine new members of the QA team who already work on outstanding issues in the
<a href="$(HOME)/releases/etch/">etch</a> release.  Gintautas Miliauskas <a
href="http://gintasm.blogspot.com/2006/06/localization-coordination-for-debian-1.html";>\
reported</a> that he has been working on an integrated localisation infrastructure for
Debian based on the framework of the <a
href="http://www.wordforge.org/";>WordForge</a> project.</p>

## "localisation" は無理に日本語に訳さず、"l10n 化" としてみました。

<p>Debian コミュニティのための週刊ニュースレター、Debian ウィークリー
ニュースの今年の第 31 号へようこそ。Christoph Berg さんは、QA チームに
9 名の新メンバーが加わったと<a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-qa/2006/07/msg00093.html";>発表しました</a>。
彼らはすでに、<a href="$(HOME)/releases/etch/">etch</a> リリースで
未解決の問題に取り組んでいます。Gintautas Miliauskas さんは、<a
href="http://www.wordforge.org/";>WordForge</a> プロジェクトのフレームワークを
元に、Debian 用の統合 l10n 化インフラストラクチャについて作業を行なったと<a
href="http://gintasm.blogspot.com/2006/06/localization-coordination-for-debian-1.html";>\
報告しました</p>。

<p><strong>Uploading with proper Urgencies.</strong> Adeodato Sim&oacute; <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2006/07/msg00008.html";>\
reminded</a> developers to upload fixed packages with urgency
<code>high</code> if they fix security-related bugs.  The urgency
<code>medium</code> should be used for release-critical bugs including
corrections to failures to build from source on one or other <a
href="$(HOME)/ports/">architecture</a>.  Since these uploads will migrate into
<a href="$(HOME)/releases/testing/">testing</a> faster than normal, they
should be prepared with extra care as well.</p>

<p><strong>適切な重要度でのアップロード。</strong>
Adeodato Sim&oacute; さんは、セキュリティ関連のバグを修正した場合は
修正済のパッケージを重要度 <code>high</code> としてアップロードすべきで
あると、開発者に<a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2006/07/msg00008.html";>\
注意を促しました</a>。重要度 <code>medium</code> はリリースクリティカルな
バグに使われるべきで、その中には 1 つないし複数の<a
href="$(HOME)/ports/">アーキテクチャ</a>上でソースからビルドするのに
失敗する事への対処も含まれます。これらのアップロードは通常よりも早く
<a href="$(HOME)/releases/testing/">テスト版</a>に移されるため、
入念な注意を払わなければなりません。</p>

<p><strong>Responsibility for Packages.</strong> Martin Krafft <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/07/msg00190.html";>wondered</a>
if Debian wants to change responsibilities for packages and move to more group
maintained packages.  Adeodato Sim&oacute; <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/07/msg00231.html";>explained</a>
that having the non-maintainer diff in the <a href="$(HOME)/Bugs/">bug
tracking system</a> for a few days before entering the archive does help QA,
because there's room for peer review.</p>

<p><strong>パッケージへの責任。</strong>
Martin Krafft さんは、Debian がパッケージに対する責任を改め、グループに
よって保守されるパッケージを増やそうと望んでいるのではないかと<a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/07/msg00190.html";>疑問に思いました</a>。
Adeodato Sim&oacute; さんの<a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2006/07/msg00231.html";>説明</a>
によれば、アーカイブ入りする前の数日間、非メンテナによる diff を
<a href="$(HOME)/Bugs/">バグ追跡システム</a>に残すことは QA チームに
とってきわめて有益です。なぜならピアレビューする余地があるからです。</p>
