for its well thought-out encapsulation/packaging of libraries.
Paul Wise will <a

his <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2008/03/msg02475.html";>Debian
user</a>
and <a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2008/03/msg00030.html";>Debian
new contributor</a>
surveys on June 1st so that analysis of the results can begin. Please
participate if you
haven't done so, yet.</p>

賞賛</a>をいただきました。Paul Wise は、6月1日に Debian の<a

<p><strong>Debian and Google Summer of Code</strong></p>
<p>The Debian Project <a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-news/2008/msg00001.html";>announced</a>
to
participate again in Google Summer of Code Program. Twelve students
will get the opportunity
to work on different projects during their summer vacation while
Google will fund them.</p>

<p><strong>Debian と Google Summer of Code</strong></p>
<p>Debian プロジェクトは、Google Summer of Code プログラムに再度参加することを
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-news/2008/msg00001.html";>発表しました</a>。
Google の資金援助を受けて、12人の学生に、この夏休みの間いろいろなプロジェクトを行う機会が与えられます。</p>

<p><strong>Development progress</strong></p>
<p>The development efforts to release the next stable Debian release
codenamed "Lenny" in September continue. While the transition to Python 2.5
as default python version is allready completed, the transition to Perl 5.10
is still ongoing. So the freeze, the phase when developers will concentrate
on fixing bugs instead of adding new features, will be called soon.</p>

<p>Andreas Barth, release manager for Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 "Sarge" and Debian
GNU/Linux 4.0 "Etch" announced, that Marc Brockschmidt joined the team of
release managers, while he steps back as release wizard.</p>

<p><strong>開発の進行状況</strong></p>
<p>Debian の次期安定版コードネーム Lenny の9月のリリースに向けて開発が進行中です。
Python のデフォルトバージョンとして、Python 2.5 への移行が完了しましたが、Perl 5.10
への移行はまだ継続中です。そして、そのフリーズ、つまり新規機能の追加を終了し、
バグフックスに集中する段階への移行がまもなくアナウンスされるでしょう。</p>

<p>Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 Sarge と Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 Etch の リリースマネージャー
である Andreas Barth は、彼がリリース専門要員として後退し、Marc Brockschmidt が
リリースマネージャチームに参加したことを、アナウンスしました。</p>
