Debian 移植版である <q>s390x</q> の誕生</a> (<a
href="http://www.debian.org/ports/s390/";><q>s390</q></a> 移植版の 64
ビット版) についてブログを書きました。Aurelien さんは <q>s390
移植版は実質的にはアドレスの観点から言えば 31 ビット (1 ビットは 24
から 31 ビットまでのアドレス空間拡張に確保されます) であるため、
各プロセスが確保できるメモリサイズは最大 2 GB に制限されています。</q>
と説明しました。しかし、最近は (特に大型汎用計算機で) 2 GB
以上のメモリを必要とするアプリケーションがあるため、新しい <q>s390x</q>
