えっと、「身分証明」に関する部分は、現状の最新版だと以下のように

The prospective applicant must be able to produce two items:
   
 1. A digitized image file of an appropriate "photo" ID.
 2. A digital gpg/pgp public key, suitable for inclusion on a key-ring.

The  ID  image file must be signed using the applicant's key and delivered,
along with a copy of the applicant's public key to the Application Manager
assigned by the Front Desk.

Conditions:

The above items, when delivered to the Application Manager (AM), constitute
the "handshake" portion of the introduction. The "eye-ball" portion of the
introduction   can   be  satisfied  by  meeting  one  of  several  possible
conditions.
   
 1. If you pgp/gpg key has been signed by a current member of Debian your
    identification  is  complete,  when  that key is among the two required
    items mentioned above.
    The  applicant  may  provide  a contact person who can verify, from the
    image  file  provided,  that they recognize this person by image and by
    name.
    Any  other  mechanism  that  the applicant and their AM may work out to
    "close the eye-ball loop" that is acceptable to the rest of the
    committee may be used to complete the identification.

Satisfaction of the identification requirements can happen in parallel with
the  other  activities  required  of the applicant, but it must be complete
before the application can be completed.

顔写真入りの証明書 ("photo" ID) をスキャンしたファイルは、候補者の鍵で
署名して、公開鍵と一緒に「入会審査担当者」まで送る、ということみたいですね。

で、この証明書は "handshake" portion で、"eye-ball" portion のためには

「 a contact person who can verify, from the image  file  provided, 
 that they recognize this person by image and by name.」が識別できる
証明書ならいい、ということなんじゃないかと思います。

まあなんかあったら NMAM team にも日本語読める人が 3 人はいますから。

While we are looking to "bench test" the complete process, the major area
of interest is the identification process. We currently agree that any
"official" picture ID (passport, driver's license, etc), digitized and
signed with the applicants key is adequate identification if the key has
been signed by a current Debian member. It is the other circumstances that
are less certain.

 "official" picture ID については、ここに書かれていますね。
 driver's licdense が OK なんだから、日本語で書かれていても
大丈夫なんじゃないかな。

If your applicant can provide such identification, they will move through
the application process more quickly, however our interest is going to be
in the applicants who can not provide these items. We want all applicants,
no matter what their ID documentation, as this will give us some idea of
just how complex this problem will be in actual practice.

証明書が用意できない場合でも、どうすればうまく処理できるか考えるために
まずはコンタクトしてみてほしい、というような感じかな。

So, when you contact Dwarf, include some indication of the type of ID
documents your applicant can provide. If any of this documentation is
available in digitized form, include that image as an attachment to the
contact e-mail. This will speed up the process.

ここにありますね。Dwarf (Dale Scheetz のこと) にコンタクトする時は、
用意できるもので良いから、何かの種類の ID 文書を一緒に送ってほしい。
この文書をスキャンしたデジタルイメージが用意できるのなら、それを
コンタクトする際の電子メールに添付してほしい。

  現在 13 名の方が待機中ですね。)

遠藤さんは Web/Doc 方面で既にずいぶん作業されているので、パッケージは
無くてもスポンサーとして推薦するべきじゃないかなと思ってます。
あと八田真行さんもライセンス関係とかいろいろ作業されてますよね。

私のほうは、上記の「ID 文書のデジタルイメージ」が届くのを待ってる状態で
今のところまだこれについて実際に動いてはいません。みんなそのうち送って
くれるだろうと思ってたんですが、実は「送らなきゃ」ってことを知らなかったとか ?
