“port”はいわゆる「移植」のことですが、最近は使わない? まあ、
わかりやすいほうがいいでしょうけど。

2番目の文章:

ここらへんの動作は知らなかったので嘘かもしれません。

習慣だと思います。ですから「空白を入れる習慣です」とか。
