これは以下のかねこさんのメールにあったように、「設定ファイル中の
クロック設定行」つまり man XF86Config の
Clocks clock ...
specifies the dotclocks that are on your graphics
board. The clocks are in MHz, and may be
specified as a floating point number. The value
is stored internally to the nearest kHz. The
ordering of the clocks is important. It must
match the order in which they are selected on the
graphics board. Multiple Clocks lines may be
specified. For boards with programmable clock
chips, the ClockChip entry should be used instead
of this. A Clocks entry is not mandatory for
boards with non-programmable clock chips, but is
highly recommended because it prevents the clock
probing phase during server startup. This clock
probing phase can cause problems for some
monitors.

「少なくても」がちょっと気になるかも。

「ドット周波数と水平同期周波数の組み合わせ」は modeline のほうだと
思います。クロック指定行はクロック周波数 (dotclock) だけを指定する
ものですね。
なお Clockchip は man XF86Config に

と説明されています。

ジャを選択する事ができます。一般的な選択は twm, fvwm, wmaker (Window
Maker) です。
これ、「ウインドウ」より「ウィンドウ」のほうが良くありませんか ?
どうなんだろう。「ウインドウ (窓) 」というのもなんだかちょっと
ひっかかる気がするんですが。ここに「(窓)」って入れる必要がある
でしょうか ?
あと「リソースの厳しいもの」より「メモリや CPU などの資源を
たくさん要求するもの」と書いたほうがわかりやすいかも。
それから twm はウィンドウのタイトルに日本語表示できないですよね ?
wmaker はたぶん大丈夫だと思うんですが、fvwm2 はどうだったかな。
language-env の資料によれば icewm, blackbox, qvwm, asclassic は
設定無しで日本語表示可能なはずです。wmaker は wsetfont japanese を
実行しておかないといけないみたいですね。
日本語訳としては、このへんの「お勧めの選択肢」も調整しておいたほうが
いいんじゃないかな。
