SQUID is a library of C code functions for sequence analysis. It also
includes a number of small utility programs to convert, show statistics,
manipulate and do other functions on sequence files.

The original name of the package is "squid", but since there is already
a squid on the archive (a proxy cache), it was renamed to "biosquid".

訳文:
SQUID は、配列解析用 C コード関数ライブラリです。
また、配列ファイルに対する変換、統計情報の表示、操作および
他の機能を実行するための小さなユーティリティプログラムも含まれています。

本パッケージの名前はもともとは "squid" と呼ばれていましたが、アーカイブ上に
すでに同じ名前のパッケージ (プロキシキャッシュ) が存在していましたので、
"biosquid" に改名しました。

http://packages.debian.org/ja/sid/biosquid の翻訳済みを持って来て語句の修正をしたものです。
第1パラグラフの2行目の訳を見直し、tyamadaさんのレビューの訳に置き換えました。
ところでHomepage:行のURL
http://selab.wustl.edu/cgi-bin/selab.pl?mode=software
は selab.wustl.edu が今は無い様で、エラーになりますが、
こういったデッドリンク？の扱いはどうしたもんでしょう？

原文をfetchしました。
原文でDescription:フィールド内から "Homepage:"
が削除され、Homepage:フィールドに移行したので、対応して訳のほうも削除しています。
# でも同じ URI のままですね...

一か所「シーケンス」を「配列」に変更しました。

# から始まるスレッドによると、upstreamが開発終了したとのこと。
# ただし、可能な間はdebian-medでのメンテナンスは続けるそうです。
