+ 小生現在ThinkPad220にDebian1.3.1(今月のUnixUserの附録分です)をfloppy
+ にてインストールしようとしておりますが、インストール作業が一通り終わ
+ り、再起動をするとシステムが全く起動してこない、という状況に陥りまし
+ た。
+ 2度同じようにインストールをしましたが同じように起動しません。

  インストールに使用した rescue フロッピーで起動できますよ．
  カーネルイメージを DOS パーティションに置いて，LOADLIN するのもいい
でしょう．

+ (画面の一番右上に"LI_"と表示されそのまま)

  /usr/doc/lilo/Manual.txt.gz を見ると，

   LI   The first stage boot loader was able to load the second stage boot

    geometry mismatch or by moving /boot/boot.b without running the map 
    installer.

とあります．接続したディスクのジオメトリ情報に問題があるか，マップイン
ストーラ(?)を実行せずに /boot/boot.b を動かしてしまったのではないでしょ
うか．
