#若干不正確かも知れませんが，こんな感じで行うとうまくいくのでは？

まずは以下のパッケージに対して＊おんなじ＊バージョンナンバーの
パッケージファイル (*.deb)用意してください．

xbase xcontrib xdocbase xext xfnt100  xfnt75 xfntbase  xfntbig  xfntcyr
  xfntpex  xfntscl  xlib6  xlib6-altdev xlib6g xlib6g-dev
xserver-svga  xslib  xslibg
(本質的ではないファイルもあるけどこれぐらいはあった方がいいでしょう)
安全をみて Xをきって

dpkg -i *.deb
を行ってください．
そしたら旨く行くかも知れません．
試してみてはいかがでしょうか？

順番にいれてくのもいいんですが， dpkg は引数で複数のパッケージを一辺に
いれれば依存関係を考慮してくれるのでその方がいいと思います．

追伸

# 結局のところ高嶋さんのミスは違ったバージョンナンバーを一緒にインストー
ルしようとしたところにあるようです．

であれば問題はなかったのでは？(もちろんxlib6_3.3.1-2.debを用意して)
