一般に移植は、(libc とダイナミックリンカを順調に動作させるとい
うような)厄介な作業から始まります。それから、新しいアーキティク
チャ上で全てのパッケージの再コンパイルを試みるという比較的お決
まりの作業(これが長くかかるのですが)に移ります。

# 1つ目も2つ目も "this(port) is progress with" にかかっていているので、

「in progress」は「発展途上」と訳すよりは「作成中」くらいでどうでしょう？
