Steve Langasek さんは、libtiff の新しいバージョンがすでに不安定版 (unstable)
に登場しているので、依存しているパッケージを再構築するようメンテナに<a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2004/08/msg00000.html";>促しました</a>。

<p><strong>sarge のリリース最新情報</strong>。
Colin Watson さんは、「基本 (base)」と「標準 (standard)」のパッケージは、
不安定版 (unstable) を経由しては sarge に入れられなくなる、と<a
href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2004/08/msg00003.html";>\
報告しました</a>。彼は、今後できるだけ早くリリースクリティカルバグを修正する必要があると言いました。
また、これらのバグは一週間以上オープンしたままにすべきではありません。
名刺サイズとネットワークインストール CD イメージのインストーラがビルドされており、
完全な CD セットもビルド中です。インストールマニュアルも洗練され、
リリースに向けて準備されています。</p>

<p><strong>Debian-Installer 回顧録</strong>。
Joey Hess さんは、<a href="$(HOME)/devel/debian-installer/">debian-installer</a>
が現在に至るまでの出来事を<a

Debian-Installer チームは、Debian sarge インストーラのリリース候補 1 を<a

不運にも <a href="http://packages.debian.org/libgpg-error0";>libgpg-error0</a>
の新しいバージョンは、sarge にあるバージョンが base
フリーズの一部として凍結された数日後に、新しい <code>shlibs</code>
ファイルとともに不安定版 (unstable) にアップロードされました。したがって、
新しいバージョンに対してビルドされたまだ凍結されていないパッケージは、sarge
に入れられなくなってしまいました。これは、少なくとも GNOME と Evolution に<a

Roland Stigge さんは、ライブラリにパッチが必要になった場合に
(例えばセキュリティ上の更新など) 問題になるだろうと<a
