この段落の第二文ですが、
「Debian のメーリングリスト管理者は、オフトピックなメールは他の
所に送られるべきだと、かなり辛辣で、かつ攻撃的かもしれない方法で
指摘したかどで、ある人物の開発者中心の通知メーリングリストへ投稿
する権限を剥奪すると決定しました。」
ですね。
# `in a rather sarcastic and potentially offensive fashion.' は
# `pointing out' にかかっています。
